Low cost carbon steel components.

More than 90 percent of all steels produced are carbon steels. They contain varying amounts of carbon, but not more than 1.65 percent of manganese, 0.60 percent silicon, and 0.60 percent copper. The lower cost of carbon steel makes it an attractive material when compared to other materials such as stainless and alloy steels.

If you need more strength but want to avoid the cost of regular alloy steel, consider high-strength low-alloy steel.
